Introduction
Passenger’s (“Customer”) carriage and baggage (“Baggage”) shall be subject to the regulations framed by United Helicharters Pvt Limited (“UHPL”) from time to time in accordance with the rules and guidelines of DGCA for non schedule operators and in accordance with the applicable acts.

Reservation and Payment Terms for Travel
UHPL is a non scheduled operator. An itinerary does not constitute a contract of carriage as we do not operate scheduled services.

Bookings made by the Customer (s) may be confirmed (“Confirmed Booking”) once UHPL or its authorized agent receives payment towards such booking and issues a valid ticket number (“Ticket Number”).

Passengers are requested to contact the UHPL reservation desk a day prior to their journey

Mode of Payment

Payments can be made through Debit and Credit Cards through our website www.UHPL.com and also through RTGS / Bank Transfer / Wire Transfer.

International (Non-Indian) Credit Cards are accepted at UHPL on a restricted basis only.

Cash will be accepted at the UHPL Office or any of our Designated Travel Agents.

Note: No other mode of payment other than above, will be accepted by UHPL.

No open bookings are allowed and all bookings made hereunder are for non-scheduled operations only.

Fare Rules

All UHPL fares are on a round trip basis only and in Indian Rupees (Rs or INR).

Please note that fares are subject to change to change without prior notice. If you have purchased a ticket and subsequently the fares have increased, then you will not be required to pay the difference unless you decide to change the travel dates which requires re-issuance of the ticket. In case of change of dates and/or cancellation, the terms stated below will apply.

Bookings are not transferable.

Once payment is received by UHPL, the following will apply for a date change/cancellation:

  • Cancellation/Date Change prior to 10 days of the flight departure day – 25% of the basic fare shall be refunded/charged.
  • Cancellation/Date change between 5-10 days prior to the booked flight departure day – 50% of the basic fare to be refunded/charged.
  • No cancellation/date change allowed from 5 days prior to the booked flight departure date

Changes/ Cancellations/ Refunds

UHPL reserves the right to cancel the flight if the total number of bookings on a single flight is less than 8 passenger seats. Under such circumstances, UHPL will inform the passenger on the contact number / email as provided while booking the ticket. The passengers shall also be given a choice to refund the money or to reschedule the date of travel within a period of 30 days in the event of such cancellation of the flight unless such cancellation is caused due to force majeure, in which case there will not be a refund and only rescheduling is permitted.

If you do not report at the UHPL Hanger Juhu at least 40 minutes prior to the advised time, amount paid for such booking shall be forfeited.

Special Rules and Charges for Certain Customers, Pets and Baggage

UHPL does not offer special fares for families, children, infant, senior citizens and foreign nationals. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult companion at all times and shall carry proof of age.

No more than 2 infants will be permitted per flight.

Wheelchairs are not allowed inside the helicopters. Handicapped passengers cannot travel unaccompanied and the person accompanying the handicapped person should be responsible for taking care of the handicapped passenger.

UHPL does not permit the carriage of pets or animals on its helicopter.

Checked and Cabin Baggage Rules

Only one hand/baggage of the permitted size (17 x 17 x 4 inches) and weight not exceeding 5 Kgs is allowed per passenger. No additional baggage/luggage is permitted.

UHPL reserves the right to refuse carriage of any item that does not comply with the Regulations. UHPL’s liability for loss or damage to baggage/luggage is limited to INR 200/- per kg and further UHPL assumes no liability for fragile or perishable articles.

Checking In For a Flight

A person shall not be entitled to be carried on a UHPL flight unless that person presents a valid ticket issued in accordance with UHPL’s Regulations as well as valid identification documents. Customer check-in begins 1 hour and closes 30 minutes prior to the estimated departure time of the non-schedule operating flight. The boarding shall commence 15 minutes before estimated departure time of such non-schedule operating flights. Any of the following are considered to be valid photo identification documents:

  • Valid Passport
  • Valid Driving License
  • Election Photo Identification Card
  • PAN card issued by the Income Tax department
  • Photo identity card issued by the employer, being government or any public sector undertaking
  • Children travelling on UHPL flight should carry their school identification cards or any other photo identification proof along with them.
  • Valid birth certificates of infants need to be produced at the time of check-in for age proof.

Customers who cannot provide sufficient identification will be denied boarding.

Customers who are unwell or pregnant will require a medical certificate from a licensed medical practitioner certifying they are fit for air travel on a helicopter on that day. UHPL reserves the right to deny boarding to Customers who it considers to be medically unfit to travel and who do not have appropriate medical certification.

Security Regulations

According to security regulations, passengers are advised:

  • Not to accept any packets from unknown persons.
  • Not to leave baggage unobserved at any time, especially within the airport/helipad area. Unattended baggage may be removed by the security staff as an object of suspicion.

Prohibited Articles

Carriage of dry cell batteries, knives, scissors, sharp instruments, tools, fire arms, ammunition and their toy replicas, compressed gases, corrosives, flammable liquids, radioactive material, poisons & infectious substances etc. are prohibited.

It is mandatory to declare carriage of any arms or explosive substances and concealment of the same is an offence under Aircraft Act & Rules and if found either with the passenger or in his or her baggage, such passenger is liable to be prosecuted.

Security Screening

As required by applicable law, all Customers will be subjected to a security screening prior to boarding the helicopter.

Additional security checks may also be carried out at the time of boarding the flight.

Onboard the Helicopter

Since UHPL flights are of a short duration, UHPL shall not provide any refreshments on board the flight. The Government of India Prohibits the use of mobile phones on board at all times.

Smoking is strictly prohibited on any UHPL helicopter.

There are no lavatories on board the UHPL flight.

Flight Delays, Reschedule or Cancellations

UHPL reserves the right to cancel, change or delay the commencement or continuance of a flight or to alter the stopping place or to deviate from the route of the journey or to change the type of helicopter in use without incurring any liability in damages or otherwise to the Customers.

  • UHPL’s online reservation system resides on a secure server that encrypts purchase information. UHPL uses all reasonable endeavours to protect personal information from loss, misuse and alteration.

Other Conditions

The times shown are approximate and not guaranteed and form no part of the contract of carriage.

The liability of the company for damage sustained in the event of the death or wounding of a guest or any other bodily injury suffered by a guest or by his registered baggage during the course of carriage by air will be governed by the provisions of sections 4,5,6 and the rules contained in the Second Schedule of Carriage by Air Act 1972 with certain exceptions, adaptations, modifications etc. as mentioned in the Govt. of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation Notification and as amended from time to time.

In the event of death of a Customer, or any bodily injury or wound suffered by a Customer due to the helicopter transport which results in a permanent disablement incapacitating him/her from engaging in or being occupied with his usual duties or business occupation, the liability of UHPL for each Customer shall be limited to Rs. 500,000 only, if the Customer is above 12 years of age and limited to Rs. 250,000 only, if the Customer is below 12 years of age on the date of the accident.

For reasons other than due to helicopter transport, UHPL will not be liable for death or any bodily injury or wound suffered by a Customer including when on any surface transportation offered as a package to facilitate passenger comfort at any destination and will be at Customers sole risk.

This is a non-scheduled operation by UHPL. UHPL may from time to time make changes to the terms of carriage and will update the same on its website.

All disputes relating to the above agreement including but not limited to any claims against UHPL shall be referred to a single arbitrator appointed by the CEO of UHPL who will be a practising lawyer.  The venue of arbitration shall be Mumbai and both the parties will bear their respective cost.
